In cold weather start the car and air blows through the defroster auto heater does not work

Hi, my name is ***** ***** caused by loos of vacuum to the heater control head, when it loses vacuum, it defaults to the defroster, if it only does it when its cold, then you most likely have a cracked vacuum resevoir, it is plastic, and when cold contracts and if its got a small crack, it can loose vacuum causing this, then as it heats up, the plastic expands and seal the crack,Tim
