I have a 2008 MKZ.. If one of the spark plug coils fails

Customer Question

I have a 2008 MKZ.. If one of the spark plug coils fails will it make the PCM useless?

Hell I will help you with your question,

Yes a failed ignition coil can damage the PCM fatally. The standard fix (if you want it to stay fixed) is to replace ALL the coils at once along with the PCM unless you want a repeat performance.

Please let me know how I can help you with your question
