Lincoln Navigator Ultimate: I have an 08 Navigator. Several

Customer Question

I have an 08 Navigator. Several months ago, I had a noise that sounded like a turbocharger and/or diesel engine whirring up. Took it to the dealership, and the mechanic said he never hear that sound before. He cleaned out the throttle body, and the noise temporarily stopped (for 1 day), then started again for about a week, and stopped again. This was may March/April this year. Just yesterday, the noise started back up again.
Do you think it is the throttle body? Why would it start / stop / start / stop / and now start again?

Can you go into detail on the situation your in, the vehicles, in the engines in when this noise occurs and what you can do to change it or stop it? You want a excellent 5 star answer & I would like to be rated the same for providing it. Consider I don't know your skill level & I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the vehicle. It may take a few back and forth replies. Try your best to respond with good detail so I can do the same. I normally log in at 3pm and work late. A rating is required. Your rating me, what I type. I am not an employee of this website, nor have control over the fees or the time it took to get a response. If you rate negative or not at all you still paid, but I get nothing. I want you pleased with me and my efforts, so let me know if your experience here has come up short. Thanks Chris
