The console on this model appears to be powered through wires coming up to the underside of it, from the rest of the bike.

If those wires are damaged or pulled loose, the console will go blank, of course.

If the power supply inside the bike is 'dead' in the voltage that feeds to that console, the console will itself be blank and dead.

Please see the page 11 illustration, and accompanying text, for cautions as to what connections need to be secured to the console:
