Lube belt message won't clear after press stop and elevation…

Please try pressing and holding down both of these buttons, instead:

- Speed up

- and Stop

for 5 seconds continuously.

(And also: do apply lubrication, of the properly approved silicone formulation only since grease and oil will rot the belt and might allow it to fail at any moment during use, resulting in possible injury... to the belt. It helps the long-term operating condition of both the belt and your treadmill very much, if this is done every 6 months, along with a readjustment of the belt tension, since belts do tend to shrink with time.)

Thank you for that information. I am doing further research on the issue, for the next 1/4 hour. I hope that I will find a better answer to your question by then.

I have seen references to various approaches. The ones I have not mentioned before, are:

- upper console needs replacing (expensive, I do understand...)

- treadmill needs recalibrating (? for a Lube Belt problem?)

- belt may be getting old (? is your belt obviously wearing out, with glassy smooth patches on it, or fraying at edges, or similar signs of age?)

Regrets - the only other thing worth any mention is, 'to contact Horizon Fitness' - only really applicable, if your treadmill is still within the warranty period.

To be honest, I am sorry to say that there is no such procedure beyond what I have mentioned already. There might be such a procedure in a service manual for your model of machine, if such a service manual is available. In case it might be of use to you, I will now search for one, and within 1/2 hour, will post again to you, with results.

Regrets: after some searching, including service-manual-specific sites, I find no Horizon CT5.4 treadmill repair manuals.

This is not just some easy fix, I am sorry to say. Did you try everything that I recommended, please?

The treadmill should work properly - and it is not.

You may try replacing major parts. The motor is not likely to be at fault in this, so I suggest the motor controller board instead.

By all means, examine the controller board, after removing it and dusting it off.

Look for brown spots on the circuit board, please, first... on either side.

That would indicate over-heating of component or components.

Also look for any sign of burst or leaking capacitors, or anything else out of the ordinary about any component. (Feel welcome to post photos of both sides of the board for me to examine, if you wish.)

As for a circuit diagram, I am sorry to say that I will not be able to find one for this model. Regrets.

No, if visual inspection fails to show anything wrong, then for all we know, there *is* nothing wrong with the controller board.
