VerifiedWelcome to the site! I'm Dan, and I'd be happy to help! Yes, you can absolutely lubricate that spot. There are a couple ways to do it. The first way is the easiest, which is to use a spray-type lubricant like >>this<<. It's similar to WD-40 which you're probably familiar with, in that, it can spray into the joint without any disassembly. That picture I linked is white lithium grease, though, which is better for the hardware over time.
If that doesn't work, then you will need to perform some disassembly and use an actual paste-type grease like >>this<<. This type of lubrication is generally more effective than the spray-type, but it takes quite a bit more work to apply it since disassembly is required. For your model elliptical, you would need to remove the pedal arms (the horizontal bars that the pedals are mounted to) and then the shroud that covers the flywheel. Then you can apply the grease liberally to whatever parts you want (just use your finger, no fancy tools required).
