Hi John,

My name is***** will try my best to help you with your question.

What are you using to grease the belt? Is it the correct type of belt lubricant for your machine?

This problem can occur if the belt is starting wear, and while lubricating the belt can help a little when it is worn and frayed, eventually the belt will need to be replaced.

You can examine the the underside of the belt to determine if it is frayed and catching on the platform.
Kindly rate my service 5 stars at the top of your question page if my answer helped so I am rewarded for my time; tips appreciated :)
Otherwise please reply back if you need further assistance.

Hi Pete ....
The belt doesn't seem to be too worn and the grease I'm using is 'Smooth Run'
Treadmill lubricant Conmercial Grade 100.% silicone

Ok, have you checked and adjusted the tension of the belt?

Do you have any electronic test equipment available to carry out some tests on the motor?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

The belt tension seems to be OK .... I take it you mean the drive belt ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sure ...but I can't do that now I'm out of place at the moment ....can I get back to you ?

How much play should be in the belt ?
Expert:  Pete replied 1 year ago.

You should be able to lift it around an inch off the platform in the middle area.

Does it run ok when you aren't standing on it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yeah it runs ok with nobody on it ....the manual says 5-7 cm play on the belt is acceptable
