Customer Question

Hello Pearl,
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: Are you familiar with the Bow Tech Selecthech dumbells?
JA: No. I'm the Fitness Equipment Technician's Assistant.
Customer: Hello Pearl are you there?
JA: No. I'm the Fitness Equipment Technician's Assistant.
Customer: Ok sorry. I'm not sure how I got to you.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have one dumbell that is locked on 15 pds and the dial on each side will not turn at all and if you pick the dumbell up out of it's stand it has a plate engaged on only one side and I cannot get the plate to come off or either dial to turn at all to move and select another weight or release the one plate??
JA: The equipment expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: Nothing that I can think of right now at the moment. Thank you very much for helping me.

Hi there,

Try setting the bar to 5lb on both sides and remove the handle, leaving all the weights in the base.

Then remove the weights from the base one by one. Once the base is empty, replace the empty handle onto the empty base and try to turn the knob again.

If it still doesn't turn then the block will need to be disassembled to carry out a mechanical repair.

Reply back and let me know how you get on...

Pete.
