Customer Question

I have a pro form 985 CD that I haven't used in a couple years. I just went to plug it in to start using again and it won't evenlight up. I cannot afford to have this repaired by someone else. How can I do this myself? I fixed my old washer about 6 years ago so this is next. :)

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, proposed preliminary checks (if have not been tried) :

  • check the power cord and plug in to another outlet;
  • check/reset the circuit breaker;
  • check/exercise the On/Off switch.

All others would require the use of a multi-meter.

Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.

I put down a deposit but never received an email that there was an answer waiting. What happened?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
I see i was charged 26.00 to tell me to check my plugs, circuit breaker, etc. etc?? 26.00 was supposed to be charged IF I was satisfied with the help. Of course I checked my plugs, sir, or I would not have come here in the first place. Telling me this info is not worth being charged 26.00. That's not right...

Sorry but if what were tried were not posted then there's no way for me to know these. I then would have to work with whatever info was earlier provided (or lack thereof).
