I suggest that first of all, you do a hard reset on the machine.
While it is On, unplug it from the power, sharply and suddenly.
Leave it that way, for at least 2 hours, unplugged. p
Plug in again to the power, only after that time has elapsed. (If it has a power switch, turn the power switch Off just before plugging it in again.)
Turn it On. See if it now operates properly.
If that cures it, the problem is temporary, and owing (most likely) to either a transient power surge, or else to a bit of static discharge owing to someone with a bit of static electricity touching the console and shocking the electronics of it.
