Verifiedhuvster : Your console has burnt out and needs to be replaced
huvster : its a VERY common problem on all low end machines that use batteries.
huvster : its easy to fix, just unscrew the back of the console, un plug the wires then install a new console.
huvster : if it has the option to use an ac adapter go with that, its more steady power and tends to last longer.

Really? If I pedal the bike eveything works, calories, distance, heart monitor. There is no electronic reset? SImple answer, "Just repalce the electronic board."

You can try taking the console apart and unplugging the wires and plugging them back in, but this is a very common problem...

The company does not just sell internal components, so you just have to buy the entire console.

If the bike is less than a year old its still under warranty.

It's not been a problem and all has been working. Batteries replaced when needed. It appears the higher end machines console do not burn out.; which I cannot believe there is any difference. There are limited manufacturers for electronic boards for fitness machines.

Well i have been in the business for over 6 years, i started with delivering all the low end stuff from box stores, now i work for a company that only doe s the higher quality machines. There is a big difference in machines, especially from a warranty standpoint. Anything you buy from those stores all come with only a 1 year parts warranty. Almost all of our products come with 3-7 year parts, and some of our treadmills have lifetime parts warranty. I work 5 days a week repairing all makes and models of machines. Most of the time the lower end stuff costs more to repair than its worth to replace it.

If you look at the sticker under your machine with the model and serial number on it, it will say made my Icon Health and Fitness. Go to any store and look at the stickers on any nordic track, pro form, weider, marcy, golds gym etc... its all made by the same company with just different colors and stickers on it.

Im here to tell you whats wrong with your machine, how to fix it, and or a better option if you choose to replace it. I would go with a brand like : Vision fitness, True fitness, Life fitness, Precor, etc... These are the companies you will see in all the gyms, hotels, personal trainers etc... You will never see a nordictrack.

You can always check ebay or craigslist, maybe you would be able to find a parts machine.
