VerifiedThe overvolt protection circuit won't allow the voltage to the motor.
1.Turn off the treadmill and unplug let it sit for 10-20 minutes and retry
2.Run the treadmill for a few minutes and see if you get a smokey smell or if there are charred wires on the motor
3.Check the controller to see if anything is burnt on it. Many times friction usually from lack of lubrcation or a worn out belt or deck causes excess amperage draw and ruins the motor and controller.
4.Check the motor brushes. They are connected to the ends of the red and black motor wires. The brushes should be at least 1/2" long and shouldn't be burnt in any way.
5.# XXXXX a 12-18 volt dc battery fully charged(like one from a cordless drill)
# XXXXX sure it is fully charged, because it won't work if not
# XXXXX the + and - to the motor red is + and black is -
# XXXXX the motor turns slowly your motor is ok, if not the motor is bad and would need replaced
# XXXXX the motor is ok then your motor controller(the board with the metal) is malfunctioning and would need replaced.
If motor tests good and still you randomly get the SI2 code, replace the console.
