VerifiedLoosen the rear roller bolts 15 turns each and this will allow the front roller to be free. Push the front roller to side with the longer portion of the axle. This will allow you to tilt the front roller and remove it.
You have to line it up exactly with the holes on both sides to get it to come out. It is hard to do but it is possible. The retainer clips just hold the axle in place, but the axle is the length of the roller. Line it up and slide it to one side and the short end (pulley end) will come out.
