Your gun has a nickel finish and not blued, correct?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
no it was blued but was in a basement in a metal trunk for about ten years was all rusted I had it cleaned and parkerized some small pitting on rh side needs new grips and one or two springs
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 3 months ago.

OK - I'm close. Is there a groove in the frame that the grips fit into, or is the frame flat where the grips are?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
groove with a pilot pin at the bottom on lh and rh sides
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
will a nickel finish rust off and if it does will the gun look like it was blued
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 3 months ago.

OK - that should be a H&R Premier Second Model Small Frame Top Break revolver, sixth variation, which was made from 1916 to 1924.

Nickel would look tarnished, but not like it was blued. There was a blue version of this gun.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
thank you and can you tell me what it is worth after being pitted and parkerized
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 3 months ago.

I'm afraid not very much. Around $100 to $150.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
ok that's about what I was thinking my GF's mom and dad had a small mom and pop store in a bad area he kept it in his pocket at work
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
thanks again
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 3 months ago.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.

Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 3 months ago.

Yes - a price can't be placed on something like that with a sentimental value.
