Hi,The first thing to do is remove the buttplate, then with a long screwdriver remove the stock bolt and stock. Remove the forend and barrels to make handling the receiver easier. Turn the receiver upside down, remove the safety pin, then the safety. There is a spring between the receiver and safety lever, note the position and make sure it is in place when reassembling. The safety lever will now be loose, move it to the rear far enough to remove the push rod that goes from the locking block to the safety lever. Reassemble the safety leaving the push rod out.On selective trigger models the push rod may need to be cut off of the safety lever. One schematic I have shows different push rods, another shows them as the same.The following link is to a schematic for the Browning BSS you have any problems you can reply to me here. Tom
