This is true according to http://www.ctvoices.org/sites/default/files/files/HUSKY/HUSKY%20Eligibility%20Manual/Feb%202014/HUSKYManualFeb2014.pdf I am afraid that if we filed a 2016 joint return, claiming our son as a dependent, our household size would jump to three and our MAGI income would total 38,000. Would this new MAGI disqualify our son from the Husky D he now receives from DSS because he'd have to count his parents income? The income limit for Husky D was 10,000 and he made 9500 last year and of course we would like him to keep his health insurance coverage. Also, are my husband and I in jeopardy of losing our Medicare Extra Help (Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries in 2017 because have to add my son's income to ours? Right now we fall into an income level of under 2800 a month for a "Couple". In other words, does Medicare eligibility go by MAGI, too? .
