is interest expense considered to be an operating expense

is interest expense considered to be an operating expense?

As long as your business started and the loan is used for financing business operations - it is operational expenses.

If you business is not started yet - that will be start-up expenses and generally - should be capitalized.

Thank you so much for confirming that. I wasn't entirely sure but I wanted a confirmation from an expert. Thank you so much again.
