Can courts order the ex to seek therapy?

Our communication has been high conflict for years, and gotten worse the past two years when a formal custody plan was ordered. She has claimed in the past it is due to CPTSD she developed while with me, which I found very hard to believe. I’ve asked if she’s clinically diagnosed, and she hesitated and said yes(this was asked in person). I feel her high conflict parenting could be partial due to the fact that she has this but might not be seeking treatmentshe either has it and is going untreated, or doesn’t have it and needs therapy for making that up

I’m open to us doing co-parenting counseling as well, does she need to agree or can the judge order it. I have evidence from numerous conversations of her name calling, refusing to talk about issues, and threatening to block me because she doesn’t want to discuss middle grounds on matters. Would any of that stand?

I understand and agree that it’s about parenting the child. I don’t enjoy talking with her, and only do so if it’s a matter that I feel needs to be discussed about the kids. I even tried weekly emails instead and she refused and continued to text me. That’s how little I want to talk with her. The two issues currently are about extracurriculars and communication with the kids. She wants to sign up our son for an activity that would have games every Wednesday for 10 weeks that start at 5:30. My weekday parenting time is Wednesday from 5-8. With away games, he would have to be on a bus to the game prior to 5. This directly impacts my parenting time with them, and every other week, it’s the only 3 hours we get. I’ve explained my reasoning, given flexible options that work in her favor, and she is refusing to work together in order for the children and I to have quality time that’s often our only timeThe other issue is the children have had cell phones here for 2 years. Mom was interfering with phone calls (per the kids), mom denied, so I got them phones. Mom tried them at her house for a week then decided she didn’t want them there. Said the kids were too young. For 2 years I’ve occasionally brought up to her the option of them having phones over there, and she’s said no because she’s not ready. Then, a few weeks ago I find out a week after they had received them, that mom got them phones. When I asked her for us to have one phone for the kids instead of two phones for each child (one at each house) she refused to find a common groundI feel her spite and resentment towards me often directly impacts her decisions on parenting, and she uses the kids as a means to hurt me, but it hurts the kids more. She’s also alienating the children over time, has involved police (they sided with me), and installed cameras outside her home and told the children it’s because she was threatened by me. Mind you, in no texts or any situation has there been verbal, emotional, or physical abuse.

I guess what I’m asking is do you think these issues would hold weight in court? Or would the judge see them as trivial matters?I feel they impact my children, and I see it, but would a judge consider these to be negatively impactful to children?

She has final say on extracurriculars. I pay 80%. If I’ve objected due to impacting my time, asked for middle grounds, and she refuses and signs him up, can I refuse to pay?She says parenting means making sacrifices and that extracurricular activities shouldn’t come out of her time only. This argument doesn’t stand to me because she doesn’t work and has the children far more often than I do, with me having 3 hours a week, every other weekend, and the alternating holiday schedule.

Hi again!My ex has a live in boyfriend(Alex), who also has an ex wife and 3 children. Long story short, Alex called CPS on his ex (Emily) with false allegations. Emily informed us, and we discussed a lot about the negative environment at our ex’s home. She passed the CPS visit, but our kids we believe have been exposed to this incident through Alex pulling their siblings out of school early and also making a scene at soccer practice with his daughters and Emily.
