I am w.. I am writing on behalf of my sister, Vicki Harper.
My name is***** am writing on behalf of my sister, Vicki Harper. She and her ex-husband went through divorce two years ago after 19 years. Her ex- Danny Harper made over a 100,000 years as truck mechanic and was a National Guard soldier for over 20 years and served in two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Vicki was a stay at home mom for their son, Drake. Vicki was awarded an hardship case represented by Clint Maze in Arab, Al. Vicki was awarded alimony, child support, etc. After one year, Dan takes Vicki back to court . He sent the notice to attend the court appointments to the house that wasf foreclosed on- where neither lived. After three missed appointments ( in which Vicki knew nothing about) the family judge - Judge Hawk- Marshall County, Alabam)awarded all requests to Dan, dropping alimony, etc. and gave custody to Dan for their son. Drake told him he'd better not show up because he wasn't leaving Vicki. This was no problem with Dan. He allowed Drake to live with Vicki . He did quit paying child support. In the mean time Vicki and Drake live in government housing , and have suffered just getting by. I should mention Vicki had a crushed foot/ ankle and is not able to work- but since she didn't work outside the home she doesn't qualify for social security disability. My sister and I have helped Vicki and Drake the best we can. Drake has not seen his father for the last year and a half. Dan defrauded-the court with sending the notices for court to the wrong address so he could win. The court system has proof it was sent to the foreclosed home all three times. Vicki's lawyer who represented her in the initial divorce hearing, refused to help unless she could come up with a 2,500 retainer- which is impossible when you receive no income and live in the projects. Is there anything you can do to help Vicki and her son Drake? Sincerely, ***** ***** … read more
