Can my VA benefits be used for spousal support in California

Lawyer's Assistant: Because family law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?

California

Lawyer's Assistant: Have you talked to a lawyer yet?

The judge already ruled on all of my income, and half of it is VA benefits. I think she used all of my income to make her ruling.

Lawyer's Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?

Can I appeal to the 9th circuit , or must I appeal to the court that made the decision?
