Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. Please note: This is general information for educational purposes only and is not legal advice. No specific course of action is proposed herein, and no attorney-client relationship or privilege is formed by speaking to an expert on this site. Is the mother in agreement with the father's proposal? Are all the times already worked out? Or, does she disagree to do this?

Nothing has been worked out yet. When should the petition be filed, in Ga or MI

Where should it be filed?

MI. The jurisdiction for custody under the state-adopted UCCJEA falls under into MI, since this is where the child lives. The reference is UNIFORM CHILD-CUSTODY JURISDICTION AND ENFORCEMENT ACT Act 195 of 2001.
