Hi my granddaughter is living with me now. Her dad has anger issues and drugs, her mom, (my daughter) has alcohol problems and is trying to get to a rehab. I am my granddaughters guardian at the school, but do I need an order to have legal guardianship?

you should get an order to avoid challenges or problems acting for the child. martindale.com and findlaw.com are both excellent lookup directories. Both highly rated. Both used by lawyers. Am I looking up info or just lawyers that handle this kind of case. I really don't have the money to hire a lawyer to represent me

You can use an estate lawyer locally or you can visit the court and the clerks office can help you with the petition to be so appointed. You want to have a timeline of events to help support why you want this relief which would be included in your affidavit.
