my grandchildren got took from their parents through Child Protective Services about 2 months ago I found out through Raleigh that is a federal law that grandparents and other kinship be asked first we called up there the next day telling them we wanted the kids and there was 6 different family members they took them straight to foster care we have not had any visitation any contact with the papers we got from Raleigh says that we should be able to have and also get temporary custody or permanent custody I need to know what to do I am broke and desperate these kids are my life I have 3 other kids that were placed with me if there's three child protective services what do I do

I am sorry for this dilemma...but I fear you may be operating under a false impression. There is NO federal law regulating this is state law alone.

And there is no requirement CPS offer family to take the children.
