Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I am a licensed attorney who will try my very best to help with your situation or get you to someone who can. There may be a slight delay in my responses as I research statutes or ordinances and type out an answer or reply, but rest assured, I am working on your question.

.

Are you saying that the daughters are putting things on the cemetery plots that you purchased?

.

Do the cemetery records show you as the legal owner of them?

.

thanks

they are putting large fake flowers to cover my name. They put up a flag that reads worlds best dad. Problem is they didn't let him be their dad when he was alive. My name is ***** ***** name on plots
Family Lawyer: Barrister, Lawyer replied 1 year ago

Ok, then this is considered your privately owned property and the daughters have zero legal right to put anything on the plots...you own them. So you are completely within your legal rights to take anything that they put on your cemetery plots and dispose of it in the nearest trash can if you choose to do so as they are trespassing on your privately owned property.

When the headstone first arrived the one daughter called the headstone place said she was someone else, but called on her phone. Said the picture I used was a copyright and the headstone needed to be destroyed. We did cattle so I used a landscape with cattle in it. The monument place drew it up

If they call the cops do I just show the cops my deed?

If they call the cops do I just show the cops my deed?

.

Yes. you can just show them the deed and explain that you have no idea who is trespassing on your property and leaving this trash on your land, but you do not want it there.

Umm the flag has pictures of the daughters so I do know it is them. They will make a big stink. Am I still within my rights?
Family Lawyer: Barrister, Lawyer replied 1 year ago

Right, but you have no idea who put it there... You can put a picture of me on the site but that doesn't mean that I put it there..

.

And yes, the thing that they seem to be missing is that you own the plots...not them. They have no legal right to put anything on your property without your permission as that is a trespass to property.

Even in a cemetery the lands keeper said to me well it is family, but not really to me....
Family Lawyer: Barrister, Lawyer replied 1 year ago

The groundskeeper doesn't have any formal legal training under the law I will bet... So I wouldn't put too much stock on what they say... It is your land and you have the right to determine who and what is on it..

.

.

thanks

I got an annulment over 10 yrs ago. Sorry I didn't finish my
Sorry I didn't finish my story. I was married in Jamaica approx. 1986. We married at a hotel and the clergy told me to file the documents when I returned to the USA to make the matrimony legal. I did not, thus with in a year we separated. And a few years later I married. I told my current fiancée/husband what happened in Jamaica and told him I did not file the papers. We married in Las Vegas and he moved in his 2 daughters and we had problems with the blended family thing (I had 4 children then). Later, his brother in-law died and 1 yr later his wife (my ex sister) died leaving 3 children (15, 14 ,11) and live got more complicated and we were not getting along since we had different parenting styles, etc. About 6 yrs after being married we separated and he wanted to annual the matrimony and claimed I had been married before. I didn't have money to continue going back to court and paying my attorney. My ex refinanced my house (I previously bought before getting married to him and refinanced putting the house in his name only because his credit was better than mine and could get a lower finance rate) and took money to pay his attorney. I wanted to get out of the matrimony as quickly as possible. Thus my attorney said we could go with the annulment, since I wasn't pursuing any claim on his property, child or spousal support, etc. He said if we continued it could get more costly. So I went with the annulment and on my divorce papers stated something about "bigamist". The judge became furious because my ex was insisting on wanting an annulment, the judge told my ex our child would be a bastard child. I couldn't take the depression/stress and agreed with the annulment so I could move on. All I wanted was to keep my daughter and my house. Also, towards the end of our marriage I had an affair and had a child from the affair and my ex wanted me to not allow the father to have visiting rights. I did not agree with that, thus stop trying to make our marriage work. Is bigamist a crime in California? … read more
