Should child support be based on yearly earning that changes, or the garranteed hourly wage?

Child support should be based on wages earned from all sources....so if you have a situation where the paying parent's income changes year to year, most courts will look at the tax return for the previous year and base the coming year on those numbers, and then review it year to year and adjust (upward or downward) based on the income of the paying parent.
