My daughter just turned 5 y/o, her father and I are

Customer Question

My daughter just turned 5 y/o, her father and I are divorced. We have 50/50 joint custody but the ex is active duty military frequently deployed so she is with me most of the time. After her nightly call with her dad she said grownups wear underwear when
they shower. I asked her why then she mentioned her dad showers with her but he keeps his underwear on, his female cousin also showers her as well, but what was alarming to me is that he recently, when she was 4 y/o, took a shower with her. Then I asked her
who washes her "down there" then she said he did. I feel that this is inappropriate but do not suspect abuse. My husband (step-father) overheard this conversation I had with my daughter and wants to report him. I want to confront her dad about this as well.
What should I do?

Do not confront him. Do not discuss this with your daughter anymore. Report the abuse. That is what it is and there is a legal obligation to report it.
