Customer Question

We have a granddaughter that a judge has put in our home. She is 6 years old. She is about to start 1st grade. We live in new mexico. Our son who live in Denver, can see her anytime he wants but due his job could work mandatory Overtime so a family member needs to be in Denver in case he has to work Overtime. The mom lives in New Mexico .250 miles from us and 500 miles from Denver. Her visitation states she cannot take her out of the county we live in. She just texted me and said she is going to take her home to Aztec New Mexico and put her in school. What should we do?

Good afternoon. Just to be clear, the Judge ordered for you to have legal custody of the child, at this time? Also, do you have the child at this time? Is the mothers intent to take the child, leave the county and keep the child, enrolling her in school outside of the county?
