In child custody how does church matter? I am not from any churches or temples but would like to take my kids to a church not of his father religion

Generally speaking, unless a Judge declares otherwise, you can take your children to whatever church you want (or no church at all) during your parenting time with them. There's no requirement that they go to the same church 52 weeks out of the year.
