Im in the state of Louisiana my wife and I have 2 children 15 & 12, we have not been intimate in 12 years,but living together can I get a divorce in six months of living apart

Thank you for your question. Please permit me to assist you with your concerns.
I am afraid that the answer to your question is 'no'. Under Louisiana laws, if spouses do not have any children, they can live apart for 180 days and pursue a divorce. On the other hand if they have children, they must remain apart for at least one year before being able to finalize their divorce. And this is also assuming that both parties want to divorce, are not arguing over any property or asset distributions, and are otherwise fully in agreement to the dissolution of marriage.
