What happens when a party sues and doesn't complete

Customer Question

What happens when a party sues for divorce and doesn't complete divorce. It has ben 5 years

In most cases, the court will dismiss a case that hasn't been acted on in 5 years. You can contact the clerk to see if the case has been dropped.
If the court hasn't dismissed the case for want of prosecution, then it just continues to exist out there until one party pushes it forward.
