Ely, Can arrears be affected by mediation? One of the topics

This answer was rated:

Can arrears be affected by mediation? One of the topics we are mediating is to clear the arrears as part of the agreement, is that something that can be done?
Hello friend,

Yes. If two individuals agree to some/all arrears being dropped in mediation, and enter into a written mediated agreement, it becomes binding and may be filed with the Court. Arrears, child support, custody, and other matters may be affected by mediation.
