I want to know if owning a home prevents you from qualifying for assisted government housing.

Good Afternoon,

Are you referring to HUD Section 8 when you said "assisted government housing?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I am not sure. It is elderly housing not just low income. Does that help. And also Medicare or Medicaid subsidy for assited living and NHR

Under HUD, Section 8 housing, part or all of the rent is paid by the HUD. Applicnts must meet certain income requirements and they definitely cannot own real estate.

The applicants are of all ages and they all participate in Medicaid.
