My daughter and her ex-husband have joint custody. My grandson

My daughter and her ex-husband have joint custody. My grandson just turned 3 yrs. old. My daughter would like to start her son in pre-school this fall, going 5 days a week from 8:30 to 11:45. Her ex-husband does not want him going 5 days a week. He feels his son will get burned out on school by doing this. He doesn't want it and she does. How do you decide if you can't agree?
