Resolved Question:

my mother past away recently leaving a bank account and a home to be devided up in her estate to her heirs.can the bank account be devided up and disbursed to the heirs prior to the home being sold? we live in new jersey and all the properties are in new jersey( bank account/home).

we are currentlydoing this.it should be done by next tuesday or wednesday.

If an estate is opened, the money in the bank goes into the estate. As does all her property.

Then the administrator or executor of the estate can advance some inheritance, if there will be enough money to cover debts, carrying costs of selling the home, etc...
