What is the best treatment for psoriasis? yes I have. Was on

Customer Question

What is the best treatment for psoriasis?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: yes I have. Was on predizone for 5 days but my doctor says the side affects are too bad for me. I am 79 years old and have it all over my body including my hands and feet. No meds right now.
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: I am not on any daily meds. I take Hydroxyzine 25mg tab to sleep at nights. I have Fibromyalgia and take tramadol 50 mg for pain but have not been needing it lately. My main problem is the itching that keeps me awake most nights even with the sleeping aid.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have sjogrens disease which only requires eye drops twice a day. I use otc eye drops.

Hello and welcome

I would either prescribe you Humira or Enbrel--these are biologics that often can put psoriasis in remission
