Customer Question

My left eye has been acting strange for a few weeks. It gets weepy and gunky primarily at night. I wear contacts and it doesn't necessarily get better when I take them out. When I wash my face, I often feel like there's something gritty in them.
JA: When was the last time you had your eyes checked? In general, how has your vision been lately?
Customer: I have regularly yearly check ups with the last one being last January. My vision is fine
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Nope

It sounds that you may have a case of conjunctivitis of the eye >> the sense of it being irritated / gunk >> exudate would be suggestive that you have very possibly an infection..

Other causes possible such as a blocked tear duct ...

I would recommend that you see a doctor as antibiotic eye drop ( both eyes to be treated ) may be of help..

I hope that this information is helpful for you
