I have an eye infection and my doctor has prescribed Doxycycline. Can I eat eggs, milk and cheese?
JA: When was the last time you had your eyes checked? In general, how has your vision been lately?
Customer: my vision is fine...I have a sty. I saw him yesterday

Well you should avoid milk, cream, yogurt, cheese, ice cream and other dairy product two hours before or two hours after taking doxycycline.

I can have dairy products and eggs....just not within the two hour frame of taking doxycycline.

Yes,you can take it if necessary two hours before or two hours after taking doxycycline.Dairy products are known to interfere with the absorption of tetracyclines, including doxycycline.

Otherwise avoid them for few days.
