This is Dr. David

seasonal allergies and pollen or mold or irritants to the eye can do this

viral infections can also cause conjunctivitiis inflammation of the underside of your eye lid.

lack of sleep can do this as well.

you might need to try allergy medications and allergy eye drops to see if that helps. if they help, then most likely due to allergies.

Ok. I have bad seasonal rhinitis and do nasal flushes. This is just one one eye though. It feels watery.
This isn't a blood vessel inflamed from something serious??
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

no, this is not from something serious

you can try cold or warm compresses on your eye to see if that helps.

you should try over the counter allergy medications like allegra, claritin or zyrtec

and steroid nasal sprays like nasocort or rhinocort to see if they help.

Ok So pressure from something serious in my head wouldn't cause this? I'm freaking out.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I read about optic nerve swelling
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

no, optic nerve swelling would not cause this

pressure from your head would not cause this

you need to stop reading about these things if it is freaking you out.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok. My pupils respond and go very small in bright light. They expand in dim
Light. They are the same size unless I use allergy eye drops then they dilate more...or if I have an morning irritated allergy eye, one eye usually, won't dilate as much as the other. How do you know if you have a swollen optic nerve?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

it is normal for your pupils to do this and react to light.

swollen optic nerve would cause blurry vision in just one eye.

you need to calm down your worries about this

you don't have a swollen optic nerve.

you have allergies or conjunctivitis in one of your eyes.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't have blurry vision. Just the one eye that is red underneath feels a little watery. Is optic nerve inflammation noticeable?
Could someone have that and have a brain tumor with no other symptoms?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

you can't examine your own optic nerve.

you need a doctor to look in your eye and the retina to see your optic nerve

if you don't have blurry vision, your optic nerve is fine.

I sent 3 photos above. I'm so worried. Today has been a bad day. So much anxiety. Now I'm worried about this spot being something sinister.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

you are letting your anxiety get out of control with worry here

you need to talk to your doctor about medication treatment for your anxiety symptoms.

you don't have to worry about this benign mole on your son

it is not melanoma.

yes, it is benign.

you need to see your doctor about treatment for your anxiety symptoms.

Ok. What should I be looking for? If it changes at all?Is melanoma on scalp in a child am that's 5 possible?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 year ago.

you don't have to be looking for anything

this only worsens your anxiety symptoms.

melanoma on the scalp on a 5 year old child is a one in a billion short of case.
