Customer Question

Dionne My son Emilio had an eye exam. He is being sent to a retinal specialist. The area is not flat it is raised almost like a bump. What could this be?
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: He has never had vision problems. He is seeing blurry in the right eye and she did some sort of graph with a machine to see the retina and noticed the raised area
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Eye Doctors generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

It could be a retinal tumor. Most tumours of the retina are extremely rare, the slightly more common ones (such as naevi) being benign.
