Customer Question

Just today, I have experienced red eye in my left in eye. It is a dark red on the outer layer, it is not painful but I am worried it could be something else. I have test negative at 3 months 21 days for hiv on both the 4th gen. Test and the rna qualitative.
Is there any chance this is late seroconversion? I am unsure of my hep c status and will be testing tomorrow? Could this be cirrhosis, hep c acute, or late hiv seroconversion? It seems purplish on the interior part of my eye (side closest to the nose) and
has a purple ring .

Hi and sorry for the delay

This looks like a viral conjunctivitis--not at all related to the HIV or the hepatitis virus

It looks like you're truly negative for HIV and most likely you'll also test negative for hepatitis but the eye conditions is in no way related to those viruses

Let me know if you need more information please

I would get this checked.

I don't think it is viral

It could be iritis.

You might need antibiotics or a steroid eye drop
