Customer Question

Hello, I am experiencing floaters and flashes. I see a few out of my left eye, but most out of my right. These are not the typical transparent worm like floaters of young people (I have a few of those too), but these are like dark shadows and sometimes like a faint black smoke. I also see flashes of light as an arc in my periphery. I'm only 31, but the ophthalmologists that I've seen (2 so far) just say that it's PVD. How often would you recommend me to get my retinas checked since I still notice the floaters and flashes? I'm now going every week for a checkup, but mostly because I am alarmed by the flashes of light when I am in a dark room.

If these do not represent a retinal problem, twice a year, then once a year, assuming you have no other problems.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
