My daughter is battling at school with her reading, spelling

My daughter is battling at school with her reading, spelling and eyes which are forever painful. When she started school she used to mix up p's as q or vise versa and b's ad d's or vise versa. I think now the problem has gotten worse. Even the handwritting is terrible. Please advise what I must do? Despearate E.

If it was my daughter, I would have first got her examined by a pediatric ophthalmologist so as to look for any refractive errors or any other cause for poor vision. However if the vision is 20/20 in both eyes, then it becomes important to consult a psychologist or to look for any developmental abnormality.
