Dr. Rick :

Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.

Dr. Rick :

I would give her 50mg of benadryl and have her hold an ice cube in her mouth.

Dr. Rick :

I would expect things to be better in a few hours.

Dr. Rick :

I think she will be OK in the long run.

Dr. Rick :

If she starts to have any problems swallowing or has swelling of tongue or face I would get her in to a doctor or, if necessary, the ER right away. Although, from what you have posted, I don't think this will happen at this point.
