My83 yr old guest reports no periferal vision in her left eye this am. How should I react ?
eyesight2020 :

Hello

eyesight2020 :

I will try to do my best to answer your concern

eyesight2020 :

What has exactly happened

eyesight2020 :

Does she have diabetes, high blood pressure or any other medical issues

eyesight2020 :

As well as issues with her eyes in the past

eyesight2020 :

Given her age it may be best to have her evaluated at a medical walkin

Customer:

No to above ?? Her eyes do water, somewhat, the affected one more than the other. She just woke up this am with very little or no periferal vision in that left eye

eyesight2020 :

The issue if a person having an eye infection or dry eye condition would not neccessarily cause a loo of perheral visual loss

eyesight2020 :

Does she have a history of migraines

eyesight2020 :

With migraines you may get what they call a visual aura

eyesight2020 :

before the onset of a headache

Customer:

She has had them in the distant past but not in recent years

eyesight2020 :

Usuallly the symptoms are bilateral

eyesight2020 :

So I still beleive in this case it may be best to have evaluated at a medical walkin

eyesight2020 :

Thank you

Thanks... we have been through emerg and thorough examinations suggest a mini stroke.
I am glad that you went to the er
That is what I had suspected so that is why I kept insisting to go to a medical walkin/Er rather than continue answeringquestions.
I hope all works out for your guest.
