Ask an Eye Doctor and Get an Answer ASAP
Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.
In the vast majority of cases it is not painful.
As a matter of fact there are no symptoms at all. This is what makes glaucoma such an awful disease. By the time you are aware of the vision loss caused by glaucoma, all that can be done is to try and save what little vision you have left -- that vision that you have already lost is gone forever.
Does this make sense to you?
