Dry eye syndrome is very common, especially in women. Hormones, diet, medication, weather, computer use- all contribute to this condition. Another important component is the health of the glands around the lashes! These glands secrete the oils needed to keep the composition of your tears! I could get into this more but I am assuming that you have already done your research and so I will answer your specific question!

There have been a few studies that have shown foods rich in omega fatty acids help with dry eye. Foods such as fish, walnuts, soybeans, etc. There is actually a formulation of vitamins specifically for dry eyes.

Let me know if you would like info on the other treatments for dry eyes!

Can you recommend a specific formulation of vitamins for dry eyes please?

How does one improve the health of the glands around the lashes?

Is it possible to prevent/ reduce streaming eyes while outdoors?

I am available to chat now if possible?

Thank you.

I like Thera tear nutrition for vitamins
Expert:  Dr. Susan replied 5 years ago.
For your eyelid you can start washing them two times a day with either baby shampoo or a product called Sterilid sold over-the-counter.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about the tears coming down your face. Once the composition of your tears and prove this'll occur less often.

what quantity of walnuts/soyabeans daily and for what duration
Expert:  Dr. Susan replied 5 years ago.
It is recommended that we consume 3 grams of omega fatty acids per day! You can consult a nutrition for exact amounts in different foods.

These fatty acids are not only good for your eyes but your heart as well!
