Dr. Rick :

Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.

Dr. Rick :

Legally blind is usually defined as less then 20/200 (6/60) in your best seeing eye with your best glasses in place.

Dr. Rick :

Loss of visual field is also used in this calculation if indicated.

Your eye doctor can write you a letter describing your best corrected visual acuity and field of vision that you can take to your local government office to see if you qualify for a disability based on your vision loss.

Dr. Rick :

Does this make sense to you?

Customer:

it is now makeing day to day heard

Dr. Rick :

Did you ophthalmologist say why she believes your vision can not be made better, even after cataract surgery?

Customer:
