Welcome to Just Answer:

It is likely the you have blepharoconjunctivitis (infection with inflammation of the eyelids). To resolve this I suggest that you perform eyelid hygiene (clean eyelid/lashes) with Q-tip applicator or swab soaked with 50% diluted baby shampoo twice for 1-2 weeks, followed each time with warm water rinse, then use over the counter Zaditor eye drop 4 times daily for 1week. Since the use of neomycin/polymyxin B sulfate/dexamethasone has not significantly resolved the problem, it is possible that one of the contents is also irritating your eye. So, I suggest that your eye doctor switch you to either tobramycin with dexamethasone (Tobradex) or Zylet eye drop for about 7 days, to be used in addition to the above mentioned eye drop. This should significantly help resolve the problem. In addition, if you use eyelash mascara, I suggest that you hold-off for about 2 weeks until this problem is resolved. After the use of the Tobradex or Zylet, I suggest that you use over the counter preservative free tear drop such as Refresh or Genteal tear drop 2-4 times daily as needed.
