I put my daughters proactiv on my face and woke up with eyes

This answer was rated:

I put my daughters proactiv lotion on my face and woke up with eyes swollen. I can see but look horrible. What do I do?

Do you have any redness or swelling anywhere else on your face?
Did you get any of the lotion into your eyes?
Any pain?
Any decrease in vision?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.

Swelling only around eyes and lids.

I think because I put eye drops in after I put lotion on my face the lotion got in.

No Pain.

No decrease in vision.

I tiook benedyl all day, seems to be working. Almost back to normal.

Thanks for your help.

I just recieved this email at 4:30.

It does appear to be an allergic reaction or irritation to the chemicals in the proactive. If you haven't done so already, rinse your eyes as best you can. Cool packs will help reduce any swelling in addition to the benadryl.

Best wishes.
