Eye pain and swelling, lasting 3 days without redness.

Customer Question

Eye pain and swelling, lasting 3 days without redness. Enlarge lymph node, sore to touch on left side of neck. Have been to the doctor and had bloodwork sent off. I have no idea what they would be checking it for, but doctor did not have a diagnosis.

From the symptoms that you are describing it seem to be having an infection in the tissue around the eye i.e. orbital or preseptal cellulitis. That is why the lymph nodes are enlarged and the eye is swollen. You would need intensive antibiotic therapy to cure the infection. Also, you need to take oral anti-inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen etc.
